The members of the applicant community, “Alumni,” attended a special talk & workshop featuring Noriko Enomoto, the designer behind fashion brand nori enomoto.

①Talk Session: Career and Behind the Scenes of Launching a Brand

 

In the first half, Ms. Enomoto shared her journey from student days to establishing her own brand and her current activities.
She spoke about her experiences as a pattern maker, the process of creating a brand that brings her unique sensibilities to life, her international ventures, and strategies for sharing her brand’s vision via social media—all illustrated with real-life anecdotes.
Participants asked a range of questions on topics such as “preparing to launch a brand,” “finding a design direction,” and “expanding overseas,” to which Ms. Enomoto responded thoughtfully, offering advice on staying true to one’s creative vision and mindset for sustaining a brand.

     

②Workshop: Feedback Session on Creative Work

 

In the second half of the workshop, participants received direct advice from Ms. Enomoto on their own creations, which they had submitted in advance.
She offered professional feedback on topics such as working with materials, expressing silhouettes, and developing a story behind each design. Participants listened with great interest to her practical insights.
The session also provided an opportunity for participants to exchange ideas and share their works, fostering connections among peers with shared aspirations.
